Beginning in 2020, Ana felt that something needed to change in her life. She was dissatisfied with her living conditions and felt like she wasn’t reaching her full potential. She sensed that God had a higher purpose for her—a path where she could become self-reliant and fully use her talents. 

Ana’s life took a turn in October 2023 when she enrolled in the Academy’s Start Now course. The insights she gained from the course equipped her with the tools and confidence to seriously pursue creating her own business. Ana fully immersed herself in her passion for writing, and today, she is the proud owner of Ana Costa Autora. 

“When I completed the Start Now course, I said to myself, ‘I can go much further,’” Ana says. “Investing in myself with my goal of leaving another family’s business has allowed me to run my own business. Now, I work on my own books and projects that were stuck for years because I lacked the time to work on them. I also edit and review books for other authors as a freelancer, and I provide services for publishers, as well as make other small investments where possible. 

“At the Academy, I learned key principles for developing my business, and I continue to seek help from members of our stake chapter group. I also often work with the self-reliance specialist, and the results are always encouraging. The Academy is indeed an organization inspired by Heavenly Father.”

With the tools, support, and encouragement she found through the Academy, Ana continues to grow her business on her journey to self-reliance. Her story is a powerful example that, with courage and divine guidance, an individual can overcome any challenge and achieve their true potential.
