Gabriel Graduates from the Academy and Now Trains New Members
Name of Business: Geezzy World
Nature of Business: Shoe Design
Country: Nigeria
Gabriel launched his business in 2010 but was unable to officially register it until 2015 as he needed machinery that would allow him to produce shoes that were professional quality.
In search of a solution, he participated in the “Start and Grow My Business” pilot program provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Welfare and Self-Reliance Services, which provided him with an industrial machine to design and produce footwear. This machine gave him a competitive advantage in the industry. He was then introduced to the Academy, which welcomed him into a chapter, a peer-to-peer support group that further aided him in his entrepreneurial journey.
Gabriel stated, “After joining the Academy, I saw a significant improvement in my efficiency. I maintain good records and complete projects in a timely manner, leading to increased earnings that allow me to pay tithes, support my family, and fulfill my church responsibilities effectively.”
Gabriel gives back to his community by providing mentorship to others interested in starting their own business.
